Terrible experience. Called many times and got many different answers. Would not recommend
I went to Waco Center for Women's Health for both of my pregnancies and births in 2011 and in 2014. I had the same male doctor, that im not going to name, thru out both of them. I felt like everything I said and every concern I had was not taken seriously at all by my doctor and felt like he sees this stuff and many pregnant women all day every day and that my problems were all unimportant and he didnt have time to worry with any of it. Everything that I talked to him about he basically told me to tough it out. When it came time to deliver my first son, my water broke and we went to the hospital. I was not dilated so they had to give me a lot of patossin (spelling). I was in labor for 13 and a half hours and my son and I both started running fevers. They checked me and found that they needed my doctor to come deliver my son. They could not get in touch with my doctor and ended up having to call different floors of the hospital to get ANY doctor available to come deliver my son. At the last minute, my doctor comes in and says laughing 'I could hear you screaming all the way down the hall!' I didnt think it was funny. My second birth, I was stuck about 8 times in my spine for an epidural that ultimately did not take. I was telling my nurses that I was pushing. They told me to fight the urge to push. I told them I couldnt fight the urge. I absolutely couldnt help it at all. I was pushing for about an hour and fifteen minutes and the nurse checked me and said that my son was crowning. They called for my doctor again and he was once again not able to be located. I had all of the nurses and another doctor that was grabbed from another floor of the hospital in my room since my doctor wasnt there. The doctor was putting on his robe to deliever my baby and my son did a roll and half to the foot of my bed caught by the nurse! They refused to listen that i was pushing for over an hour and couldnt stop. Bottom line, I feel that I dont have babies every day and its a very special and important time in a woman's life and just because an ob gyn sees this type of thing every single day, from multiple women doesnt mean that they should take everything so lightly.
I love the staff, everyone is so friendly. The only problem I've had is with the lab they mixed up me with another woman and I had to reschedule.
I have my birth control threw them, nexplanon it goes into your arm and gets change every 3 years. I don't remember the year To get changed it could be 2017 or 2018. I called twice to find out & was given too different answers. The second call she stated if I even got my birth control threw them... I always went there no were els. So still confused. & I only got to see my actual doctor like once the hole time apparently she is always busy & has other appointments. But at the end I still don't know what year & don't want to get pregnant.
I love the staff and my doctor. I have a lot of anxiety about my yearly women's checkup but they have helped me SO much. They listen to my concerns and take them seriously. They explain why they recommend or don't recommend something so that I understand and remember it. Also, I've never had a wait time of more than 10 minutes.
