The DAV office is extremely unhelpful and even though I was a fully paid lifetime member, I switched to another agency without a refund and no one even cared why I wanted to leave. I called all the way to the top office left messages and no one returned my call, I am truly angry and disappointed with the Waco DAV and upper level office management. They have proven to me that they are not here for the Veterans and only wants our money, while they are firing VA employees, someone needs to take a hard look at the DAV agency from Waco, Texas all the way to the top. I truly wish that I could have kept the team at Salt Lake City, Utah, they were excellent and totally supportive.
I should've listened to all the reviews prior to going to this place. They have the most unprofessional employees. Starting from the security guard to the receptionist and bystanders (other staff). Drive the extra mile and go to Temple if you want better services.
The guy I talked to about my claim was rude, and he act like he didn't want to help me at all. He also made me feel stupid when explaining to him my issues with my claim. If you don't like your job find another one.
I have called several times and can't get anyone to answer or call back. So, I took a two hour drive and finally got some help. They provided me the information of my new case manager who is in Fort Worth and has never reached out to me. The trip was worth it, but for those who can't make the trip, I hope this picture helps...direct numbers to people in the office.
Can't get past the "push 1 now" so can't get help. Glad it wasn't a suicide prevention line but explains why so many vets give up. We did our job you do yours.
