Absolutely the most dysfunctional DMV I have ever been to.. Plan to wait a very long time and be given lots of reasons why they can't do something...
Tried calling to ask a simple question about re-upping CDL hazmat ( what location and what documents) and have been transferred around on the phone for 30 minutes for robotic voice droning on things that don't help, dialing 9 or 0 and it just gets a nice hang up by the automated system. Got to love government, nice to see a third of my lifetime earnings and work going to good use.
Worst place I've ever been walked in and walked out there was so many people waiting there was no where too sit down and wait for about 3 hours you would be there it needs more people working and bigger office it's ridiculous!
Standing in line and the guy at the front was being very rude to a lady and her son. Every comment he made to her was very rude and uncalled for. She got so frustrated she left and he just had a smile on his face. I just need an answer to my question and he answered it. The problem with him was his attitude was just nasty. I said thank you and he just stared at my not even thanking me.
With the exception of getting my first driver's license many years ago, my experience at this office was the best DMV experience I've had in three states. Not only did the clerk help me find and print out my insurance information, but when she handed me my license, she greeted me with "Welcome to Texas." Our interaction would have been memorable enough, but on my way out, one of her co-workers, having picked up on the greeting, began an impromptu "Welcome to Texas" song that began a chain reaction of welcomes from employees and patrons alike.
