Very cool place to learn about what existed here in Texas around the ice age. Great guides with tons of patience and knowledge! I learned something even! In theory, during the ice age it was only around 10 degrees cooler on average in this area so instead of 110 degrees in these insane summers it was only 100! Yup...
This is a Waco must see. Parking is easy. Definitely do the guided tour. Nice little gift shop. Staff and park rangers are very friendly and knowledgeable. You won't believe the animals that existed in central TX 15000 years ago. It is a fascinating place for adults and kids. Highly recommended!
Unexpected gem. Our tour guide was a young college student that was super amped about what they were doing at the new national park. She probably made the whole experience what it was. More than just some bones when you dive into the history and education. The tours are $5 for adults.
It is a short walk, but golf carts are available for anyone who needs one.
Wonderful experience in Texas history. Our guide was funny, informative and helpful with my aging parents. Lovely setting and well done. We live close by so we'll visit again. Park employees were courteous. Great price.
Awesome place for a family visit. It's hard to believe there were mammoths in this location, right down the street from where I used to live. The exhibit is very well put together and the guide we had was great.
