We visited last night for the first time in over a year and it was awful. The place stank. The movie started late and I had to go talk to the manager because there was sound but no picture. She didn't believe me and asked me to double check! Finally she went to check and had to stop the movie for 10 minutes. They had to replace a bulb! The seats...ugh. They must be the same worn out cloth seats from the 90's, at least, they look and smell like it.
Wow. When my wife and I first moved to Waco in 2004 we loved this place. Sure it was a little run down, but the prices couldn't be beat!
Contrary to other reviews, there were no mice on floor or urine smells. Movie experience was positive. Bathroom was acceptably clean. Our family of four had a good experience for $9.
Once the movie got started the picture, clarity, and sound were great.
And the men's room...holy cow.The moment I walked in my nose was assaulted with stale urine and ammonia odors. One urinal was marked off as out of order. There were 3 OTHERS that weren't working and had urine up to the brim. Not to mention there was a pool of urine stretching almost from one end of the urinals to the other. Thankfully, there were 2 urinals that kinda worked and weren't in the pee pool. The sink counter was nasty.
I usually take the family but this wiil be the last. Really dirty cloth seats, mice running around your feet eating the popcorn off the floor, dirty restrooms, either humid or really cold rooms
No plush reclining seats here. Dated theatre with premium theatre concession prices. But 50¢ movie Tuesdays are a great deal for the budget minded.
I want to love this place for the price, but I just can't. I don't imagine we'll be back.
The theater itself and the whole building seems to be very clean. When walking up to buy tickets we were greeted with a smile and a great attitude. Plus you can never go wrong with paying only 2 bucks to see a movie. Whole family was very happy with the experience. We look forward to coming back.
