Okay, I know this sounds rather simplistic, but in fact, once you've been to Starr Dentistry, you'll find a quality, professional staff that really cares about making your visit totally satisfactory. Starr General Dentistry is by far the best family dental care we have ever received. Our whole family, two adults and two small children, are patients of Dr. Taylor Starr and we could not wish for a better doctor both in terms of dental care and personality. Dr. Taylor Starr provides a high quality dental care and exhibits unparallelled excellency and honesty. His staff, including receptionist, hygienists and dental assistants are very professional and well trained, as well as welcoming and friendly. The technology in the office is kept up with the latest developments in the dental field and is state of the art. Starr General Dentistry is by far the best dental care for a family.
I am one of those folks that has a hard time with dental treatments so I pick my dentists carefully. I found Starr General Dentistry through a referral by a friend because I was unhappy with the dentist I had been using. I am so glad I found them! Dr. Martin Starr is great and even asks how I am holding up during treatments. Kelly, the hygientist, is efficient and easy on your teeth but gets them clean. The office staff are kind and I am always greeted at the door. I love this place!
I saw Martin Starr. I have EXTREME dental anxiety, but I was in a lot of pain so I bit the bullet and went in. The office staff were extremely warm and kind. The dentist wanted to pull 3 teeth right then and there (and I have since learned that infected teeth are nearly impossible to numb, so I feel by refusing I dodged a real bullet!) but I was freaking out so much I couldn't do it that day. I made an appointment to come back after the weekend and went on my way with an Rx for penicillin and darvocet. The darvocet did not even touch my pain. Three regular Tylenol alternated with four Advil did a better job but I was unable to reach the office over the weekend. When I contacted them on Monday, I was told that I should just expect to be in severe pain until the next day when my appointment was - in other words "We're not taking the chance that you are just a drug seeker, so eff you and your pain." I told them I would prefer to go to a different dentist who had a little more compassion, and I canceled my appointment and went with a different dentist, who recommended SAVING one of the teeth Dr. Starr was so eager to pull (which is good because I would not be able to chew on that side of my mouth if he had pulled them all). I am planning on overhauling my whole mouth, which is going to cost over $10,000, and Dr. Starr could have had that $$ if he had not been so unfeeling and uncaring. My theory is that he has never had dental pain so he doesn't understand how awful it is, and he looks at people and makes an instant judgment about their social class, status, income level, etc., and makes his decisions based on that rather than providing high-quality care to everyone. One thing is for sure, it is dentists like Dr. Martin Starr that give people like me such a horrible phobia of the dentist!
