I showed up for the first time. I wanted to go to the 6pm sunday service. There was a men's quartet warming up. And it appeared to be a banquet about to happen. I went in not sure where to go. Felt really out of place. No one greeted me. No one said "hello". No one asked me anything. So I left.

GWBC is a loving church. Dr McKelroy, pastor, is a true blessing. He preaches the truth. No matter how hard it is to hear, we need it. I missed that old time preaching, fire and brimstone preaching. A warning though, if you come to our services, it is addicting.
I showed up for the wednesday communion with my children but was turned away. I was told that if I did not show up on Sunday and sign up, that even if I paid that my children had to wait until the church members were fed and see if food was left. Very uninviting. It seems this church is more worried about ways to skimp on making too much food,( that is donated anyways), than inviting new members. Not at all like the pastor that invited me said. This is why i was looking for a new church in the first place. Really? Your guests sit in the back untill you're all fed to see if they can eat? After they pay? Is that how the pastor is treated when he is a guest at a church? How do so many people loose sight of "open arms Christian values" over money? Definately not a welcoming atmosphere.
Fantastic church, very Bible based, still uses hymns and the KJV Bible!
