Acts Church (formerly) Acts Christian Fellowship) is a treasure and body of Christ that loves like I've never seen in a church body. The diversity, both racially and socioeconomically, in the church body is what drew me to Acts and the true compassion found in its members continues to challenge me to love Jesus more. Definitely visit Acts if you are a new student at Baylor or have been living in Waco for a long time. I promise that you'll be blown away by the passionate love you see in members and in the Acts Church staff.

I went to this church a few times, and it didn't seem very welcoming. They would preach something and then the heads of the church (Pastors and Elders) didn't seem to follow what they preached. The church seems to have the right heart, but maybe needs an overhaul of the Leaders. I can't go to a church that seems to exclude its Leadership Team from its message and following what the Bible says. I pray that something changes, because it needs to. Their mission statement is awesome, but I saw them exclude some of their members. I overheard one of the Children's Ministry Pastors yelling and causing a scene with a member of the congregation, when maybe a private conversation would have been more appropriate. I'm not sure what sparked the yelling , but her voice was the only one I heard. The two main Pastors don't seem to be on the same page with one another, which makes them unequally yolked. I'm sorry to say I will never return, and I wouldn't recommend this church to anyone, unless you would like a project church that needs guidance in a big way. I will continue praying for this church.
Acts knows where its mission is and that is the Kingdom of God. The body pours out its love within the Waco community through the Storehouse (a food pantry) and other outreaches to the homeless and low-income families nearby (like Kate Ross Apartments). At the same time, the church desires to equip members to reach nations through opportunities overseas and more.
