I freaking loved this place! I've told everyone about it. Unfortunately this past Friday my family went to eat there and they were REALLY busy, I got the 3 quesadilla plate, and by 1am Saturday morning I was puking. It's Monday now and I'm still recovering. This was literally THE WORST case of food poisoning I have ever had. I'm surprised I didn't end up in the hospital.
Anyway, I'm not saying don't go there, because usually they are really good. Just be careful if it's busy. I'll probably never be able to eat there again which makes me totally sad.
The food here is really good. Only reason I didn't give five stars is because in the past I had bad service. The last couple of times I have been there the service was excellent. Will be going back.
My husband and I USED to LOVE this restaurant's food AND service. I went tonight to give it one last try. They recently changed management and while the place does appear cleaner, the former delicious food is now nasty. The enchilada sauce is watered down and has virtually NO FLAVOR. The beans and rice are bland. The chips used to be homemade, but now, they are shipped in from a supplier according to the new manager. Yuck. The salsa used to be so good you literally would not only eat it with your homemade chips, but would add it to the entire meal. It is now inedible because it is made with more jalapeños than you can shake a stick it. I got my order to go, so I tried to salvage the salsa by adding sugar, salt, more tomato, (by the way, the cilantro that used to be in the salsa is no longer there, so I added that, too) Nope! Still would burn the lips off a witch! I asked the new manager about the chips and he told me it was a business decision to change them, when I told him they didn't have the same flavor as the others and weren't as good, his response was, "Really? Well, every one's got an opinion." I certainly hope others will share their opinion! As for me and our household, we'll make the drive to eat good Tex-Mex!
The food is really good and so is the service. They have a full bar, gray selection, and their prices are reasonable. It's fantastic.... and casual.
This place is filthy! In all the reviews people are talking about the food and the horrible service, not one comment about how dirty this place is? The tortilla chips are kept in a large outdoor trash can. The waiter who was replenishing the chip baskets put the lid of the trash can on the floor, filled the baskets, then put the lid that had just been on the floor back on the trash can! The air vents are disgusting, they are so black and crusted with filth that the walls are getting coated with whatever is coming out of the vents. The dirty plates were piling up when we were there so I watched the waited scrape the plates into the garbage can right by our table...how appetizing is that? The tortilla warming dishes and the tortilla chip baskets were mingled in with the dirty dishes and put back into circulation without being washed. I called the health department. I guess these waiters never went to the food safety class. Never returning to this dumpster fire of a restaurant!
