We ate at Ninfa's on a friend's recommendation while visiting Waco. It did not disappoint! We ate during lunch and ordered off the lunch menu. The food was excellent and our service was great! (We had the Jackie and the Chalupa) The food flavors were very good and we recommend Ninfa's to anyone wanting a good place to find Tex-Mex.
This is a lovely little Tex-Mex place that we found while exploring Waco. It is located in the Spice Village shops. Google maps said that we visited during one of their busiest times but we were seated immediately and had wonderful service! The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was very friendly and perfectly attentive. Overall, a great experience. We will certainly return when we are in Waco again.
Nina's is one of the great traditional family Mexican restaurants in Waco. As a vegan, Mexican can present challenges. Ninfa's salsa is the lure here. Served warmed it deliciously can bring a tear to your eye and offer you sinus cleansing bliss. The new mango mixed greens salad with red peppers, avocado, olives, tomato, and red onion was the perfect vegan meal. The waitress was very pleasant and helped me navigate my choices.
Overall because I value service over seasoning, I rate this place 4 stars.
Service was amazing. We sat in the bar area, since there is no smoking anymore to watch the UT game. Our server was quick and kind. The food was average and the rice could use seasoning. Though, I highly recommend the Pechuga Alfonzo fully loaded. My friend made the best choice, I tasted it and it is the most delicious, creative chicken dish I've had.
35 minutes before being seated wasn't too bad. Waitress, Kayla was a breath of fresh air. She made it a rather better experience. Food was good. Chicken enchiladas.
