I go to this Y primarily to play racquetball. The courts are not very well maintained and often the court doors do not close and latch and the glass shields are not properly assembled.
I booked a room for my son's first birthday party. I paid to have the room from 3-6. We arrived at 3 exactly to begin decorating for a party starting at 4. We were told to wait for a previous group to decide to stop lounging and coming in and out of the room for their completed party. We waited 20 minutes in the lobby and then went into the room to clean up regardless of a few people in there refusing to leave much less tidy up after themselves. This is after I had to entertain a random crack headed man and word salad conversation because I couldn't be in the room we paid to be in decorating and arranging. I was flabbergasted by the room. It was filthy. Disgusting. Food everywhere, everything out of sorts. We had much to do without cleaning the mess and our guests arriving in less than a half hour. The woman that had it previously and wouldnt leave or clean up her filth told us we didn't have any right to be in the room that we had paid for weeks prior. She said someone messed up at the desk when booking. (Not sure how this is our problem) Come to find out the woman that had the room previously worked there! and didn't mind treating us terribly and blaming others for her mistake. Apparently She decided to add time to her party a week after we had booked to be in there and the scheduler had permission from the boss to schedule our party well after hers. I would never, ever recommend renting a room here or stepping foot on this premises because people in association with this business obviously don't mind being trashy and inconveniencing as well as poorly treating paying customers. Would have been nice for my hardworking husband that paid to clean up other people's mess and me to enjoy our son's day more not to mention the many guests that showed up to an unfinished room that we drove six hours and went out of our way to come to and prepare. I am sickened by my encounter. The lack of remorse from every single person we encountered working here is disgusting. I hope this place shuts down.
The courts are super busy in the afternoon, so there is definitely demand for nice courts.
YMCAs do not need to treat their seniors in such a manner, refusing exercise to seniors
YMCA. My husband and I are on an extremely tight retirement budget. I was told by 2 of my doctors that water aerobics would be ideal for me--
my cardiologist and my endocrinologist. After applying, I received a $20.
First time there. I'm keeping my neice and nephews this summer and they have fantastic classes, a game room, and a computer lab for them to use while I work out. Will definitely become a member!
help their seniors? With all the expansion that is happening in Waco, the
This place is horrible!!! I haven't been here in over 6 years I brought my kids and told the lady at the front desk I would like to pay for my kids to swim, I don't want a member ship i just want to pay for the day, she says yes that would be fine what is your name and birthday, I told her and she said I have a balance from 2012 I need to pay that in full or I can't bring my kids in! Bad business not friendly very in professional!!!!!
Extremely unfriendly and uncaring front desk personnel. Three people at the front desk, two in deep gossip (what am I supposed to think?), the third was eating. All were too involved to even notice that I had been standing there for a while. After finally getting their attention, I got a feeling and a look of "why are you asking us any questions about the "Y?"
We are only here to be involved in our business, not the Y's. I was not impressed with any of them, not a friendly or welcoming front desk reception. This has happened to me before at the front desk.
scholarship, leaving me $60. to pay every month. I wish that I had that $60. so I would not have to juggle around paying for prescriptions. Why not take all Medicare supplements to help Wacos seniors out? Or charge the seniors a $1. to swim or get into a class. What do other cities do to
I also would like you to know how unfair the scholarship system is at the
