When asked about our concerns they seemed flustered & confused. I am livid. Next time I'll be looking around to other places in waco. If you're not concerned about quality, give these folks a try. But our dogs are our family & we want the absolute best care for them. This was NOT the case at Tidy Tails.
I wish there was a lower rating to give. The facility was dirty and chaotic. I don't know her name but an older lady was screaming at a dog in the other room. I don't recommend this business to anyone and I just went in for my aussies toe nails clipped.
I took my dog here a month ago and ever since then his skin has been extremely dry. I called them and asked for a medicated bath for him because he had an allergic reaction on his leg. At first, I thought the dry skin may have been caused by the medicated bath so I moisturized his skin, but to this day his skin on his back is extremely dry and flaky. Also, when I took him to the groomers, the allergic reaction had already began to scab up. I indicated on the puppy chart and repeatedly told the staff where his allergic reaction was at only to find out that the groomer still went over that spot with the clippers. I paid almost $70 for him to be groomed by a professional only to end up spending more money on trying to get his skin and coat to go back to the way it was prior to going to this place. They didn't even listen to how short I wanted his hair cut. I said I wanted his to have an inch or two left, but they trimmed him down so much that he was red and had cuts from the clippers. His hair used to be extremely soft and shiny and now it is rough and dull. I had high expectations for this place based on the reviews, but I will not be taking him back to this place ever again.
We took our dogs here for about 10 days while my husband and I went on vacation & we were SO excited to get our pups back. My husband even left a hefty tip but soon regretted it, as there were many issues. (1) They lost all but one of the dog toys we left with them. (We left them toys to bring them comfort while we were away and would've liked to leave with them). They said they're still looking for them but I doubt it'll be found. So much for being "tidy" (2) One of our dogs had a knick (small but bleeding) on her leg and nobody seems to know how that came about. It makes me question how well they were actually being watched. (3) One of our dogs gained weight!!!! I know, sounds unlikely to have happened in that short amt of time but we have pictures to prove it. We couldn't believe it! Either he was being overfed or not getting the exercise that they claimed to be giving him. (4) we were charged for a groom but they look like only their heads were groomed. The hair on their bodies were just "slightly trimmed" & they smelled very chemically when we got them! After a groom, they're supposed to smell newly shampooed, right? Not like chemicals! My husband and I could've done a better job on the grooming!
Brought my rottweiler here for the first time when I was passing through Waco. I loved this place so much, I will never use another facility in Waco. They assured me Apollo would play great with the other big dogs they had, and he did. I picked him up two days later and he was so wore out (in a good way.) They told me all about his stay and how he played with a labradoodle the entire time. I was so relieved with the great care they gave Apollo and would recommend to anyone!
Asked them to trim my pup's pretty coat...come to pick him up and he's completely shaven. How do you mess that up? Take a picture of what you're wanting and show them.
